Role Details:

We are seeking a technically savvy assistant editor to coordinate the ingest of video, help maintain organization in the media asset management system, coordinate use of closed captioning. AE’s will also be called on to cut video clips, upload to the content management systems (CMS) and assist with digital video packages, as needed. The ideal candidate must be a talented, creative post-production professional who can handle multiple tasks both independently and with supervision. They must be comfortable working with Avid Media Composer and with Adobe Creative Cloud.

Your Day-to-Day:

• Ingest via Avid Media Composer into Avid Interplay/Media Production systems

• Maintain organization of video clips inside Interplay

• Create thumbnail images and other graphics from video assets

• Attach closed caption files to video

• Encode, upload, and publish videos on CMS

Key Projects:

• Assist creation of video packages including short-form, long-form, and series-based projects

• Consulting on the development of new video and multimedia projects

• Sub-clipping broadcast segments for digital distribution

Qualifications:

What you bring to the team:

• BA or BS degree (or equivalent experience)

• 1 years' working for a digital or broadcast media company

• Excellent video editing skills

• Independent, creative thinking

• Strong communication skills and pride in maintaining incredible attention to detail

• Contribute to a team that’s open to trying new ideas in a welcoming environment

• Ability to stay abreast of industry trends, new software and tools

You may also have:

• Experience with video production

• Live production experience

Please note: You may be required to work non-standard hours. Early mornings, even shifts, and occasionally on weekends or holidays depending on the business needs.
