Overview and Responsibilities:

WFOR is looking for an aggressive Assignment Editor who has a passion for news and a desire to win the big story! The ideal candidate will also be able to develop community stories that have true impact in South Florida.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Manage news crews and assignments
• Must be able to manage logistics under intense deadlines
• Monitor phones, scanners and social media
• Contribute to daily editorial meetings
• Review news releases and monitor local news sources
• Produce content and post to digital platforms

Basic Qualifications
• 1 years assignment desk experience
• Flexible with schedule: breaking news, cover any shifts that need coverage

Additional Qualifications
• College degree is preferred, but not required
• Expert multi-tasker who thrives under pressure
