AR/VR Studio Meteorologist

This is a Part Time Job

DESCRIPTION:
Looking for a dynamic, innovative, and experienced meteorologist to join our Next Weather team. This is a unique opportunity to tell the weather story like never before in the technologically advanced AR/VR studio. This is a per diem position.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and deliver weather reports and forecasts for on-air and on digital platforms at regularly scheduled times, either live or recorded. Deliver severe weather updates as needed.
• Analyze weather data and synthesize the information into clear, easy-to-understand graphics.
• Present weathercasts from the AR/VR studio or on-location.

Requirements:
• A degree in Atmospheric Science or Meteorology
• Must be skilled with telling a comprehensive and clear weather story, especially during extreme weather events
• Must be skilled at posting weather-related information on social media channels
• Must have 5 years of related experience
• NWA and/or AMS Certified meteorologist preferred
