The job holder will be responsible for growing digital distribution, executing the negotiation of distribution licensing agreements, and the development and ongoing management of customer relationships and performance (enablement and engagement); specifically, driving digital revenue, contribution margin and market share performance primarily within the Nordics (key territories include Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland).
This encompasses growing the transactional digital business, developing strategic customer planning and execution in conjunction with Marketing, Planning and Finance.
Summary of Role Responsibilities:
Primarily responsible for net sales performance, and contribution margin achievement within the defined territories, and for delivering other strategic sales objectives in line with the overarching business and product marketing strategy.
• Grow digital distribution and revenue through existing partnerships and joint business development plans
• Structure and execute the negotiation of distribution licensing agreements with transactional platforms
• Effectively use market data and competitive intelligence as a tool to inform sales and negotiations
• Develop and leverage productive and superior multi-level and peer-to-peer relationships with customers, prospects, and related industry stakeholders
• Support the development and execution of strategies to increase distribution and revenue of Paramount content across digital transactional platforms
• Meet assigned goals for profitable sales, trade spend, market share, and other strategic objectives
• Support the development and management of annual and quarterly customer revenue, contribution margin and market share growth plans; incorporating new release marketing plans, catalog drafting opportunities and other national & or customer specific promotional programming in line with product and pricing guidelines as defined by Marketing
• Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to senior leadership and other internal stakeholders
• Lead customer initiatives by continuously assessing the need for improvement, championing change initiatives, and removing obstacles impeding increased performance
• Manage customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction
• Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting
• Work closely with the marketing function to establish and support successful partner programs
• Maintain strong relationships with all digital media distributors, technology companies and vendors by developing a deep understanding of their business
• Create and contribute to a culture of success and ongoing business and goal achievement
Person Specification
Essential
• 5 years Sales and Distribution experience in Home Media or relatable new media industries in a retailer 'customer' management capacity
• Proven success in driving superior value from direct management and/or leadership of large scale national & or multinational customers
• Ability to think strategically to achieve competitive advantage, consider longer term impacts and translate strategies into specific objectives and actionable plans
• Highly numerate, analytical, and commercially astute
• Excellent communication and ability to influence at all levels with confidence to challenge appropriately
• Able to negotiate skillfully, shape opinions, and promote and sell ideas persuasively
• This position requires some travel
Desirable
• Masters or undergraduate degree qualified
• Working knowledge of industry landscape and business models
