Overview and Responsibilities
Are you ready to assist the EVP and VP level executives with Feature Productions in the pre-greenlight process as well as prep, production and post-production stages? This position will be immersed in all facets of Production Finance!
Banking & G/L Tracking responsibilities:
• Set up and monitor bank accounts
• Coordinate accounting systems
• Monitors third party billing and receipts
• Set up vendor accounts
Reporting & critical review:
• Prepare executive management reports for upper management
• Assist with production incentive tracking and data analysis
General responsibilities:
• Manages user access to accounting systems
• Assists in management of production accounting teams
• Process accounts payable and payroll
• Manages production accounting file retention
• Trains production accounting teams on studio systems, policies, and payment processes
• Assist with administrative duties as needed
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting or related field
• 1 years' finance/accounting related experience (including internships
• Experience using accounting software, such as SMART ACCOUNTING, PSL, SAP, Movie Magic
• Intermediate to advanced IT skills, in particular the MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Additional Qualifications
• Previous experience of payroll processing, banking systems and/or booking journal entries is ideal
• Understanding of accounting terminology (e.g. debits, credits, trial balance)
• Proficient organization skills with ability to coordinate self and others, to prioritize tasks and work to multiple deadlines
• Ability to learn
• Film production terminology desired but not required
