Parallax Studios is a fast-growing creative design and entertainment studio based in Los Angeles. Collectively, our team draws from diverse industry experience across film ideation, production and concept art.
We are looking for a driven, self-motivated Director of Business Development who can build long-term client relationships as well as showcase Parallax's creative vision and services.
This is a full-time position for our Los Angeles office. Employees are in-person Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at our Los Angeles office.
Responsibilities:
• Prospect and pursue new clients and new deals, including both fielding inbound opportunities and using cold outreach to create new opportunities.
• Contribute to the evaluation of opportunities with internal teams, first gathering all the necessary information for assessment.
• Participate in new business pitches, which includes answering RFIs, gathering internal leaders and cross disciplinary teams to respond to RFPs, etc.
• Prepare for client meetings and presentations, including client research, presentation materials and briefing colleagues in attendance.
• Write proposals, craft custom presentation decks for opportunities, and collaborate internally on writing scopes and estimates.
• Achieve agreed upon revenue targets and outcomes within schedule.
• Assess conferences and networking events and attend as relevant.
• Collaborate on award submissions.
• Build, maintain and keep in touch with a network of client contacts.
• Become an expert in Parallax Studios's capabilities, case studies and processes.
Requirements:
• Minimum 6 years of business development management experience in the entertainment or agency field.
• Expansive network of film and TV industry professionals. A plus if candidate also has strong contacts in the video game industry.
• A strong understanding of creative design services.
• Familiarity with BRM and CRM practices along with the ability to build productive business professional relationships.
