This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship
Emmy-nominated Production Company looking for dynamic, responsible interns who is interested in learning the ins and outs of television production. Internships are available immediately. We are also looking for summer interns.
Interns will assist in all aspects of production, from research and pre-production through shoots and post-production. We work on a variety of documentary films, and our intern will have a chance to help out on all of them.
Applicant must be motivated, resourceful, well organized and able to work independently. Must have excellent written and verbal skills and be able to do research on a variety of subjects. Must have some understanding of the film production process, as well as a desire to learn. Previous experience a plus.
Must be available 2-3 days a week 10-6.
RESPONSIBILITIES include (but are not limited to)
• Conduct research for topics in development and production.
• Assist crew on shoots around New York City (if applicable).
• Run pre and post production errands including location scouting and shopping.
• Conduct phone and written communications with clients, vendors, actors and crew in a professional and organized manner.
SKILLS
• Strong written and communication skills
• Ability to stay on top of multiple, immediate tasks while paying close attention to detail.
• Ability to process large amounts of information on a variety of topics and summarize findings in a clear and concise manner.
• Ability to work as a member of a team and to carry out assignments independently
• Good at following directions and asking questions
• Strong cognitive skills
• Driver's license a plus, but not necessary
INTERNSHIP
This is a great opportunity to learn about all aspects of documentary filmmaking and television production. We are a small production team working out of Dumbo, Brooklyn. You'll be involved in every aspect of the production - from story development, through shooting -(if in New York), editing and finishing the final product. Projects will air on major television channels in the US and internationally. It's unpaid, but you'll have a chance to work with experienced and friendly staff and have hands-on production experience. Interns who complete at least 3 months on a project will receive a PA credit on a major television show.
