Panavision New York is seeking a candidate with experience working with clients and employees in scheduling customer camera packages and ensuring inventory is available for client orders. The NY Rental department works with the Panavision team and our clients to ensure that our camera packages are scheduled, sourced, and ready for the Client's prep and shipment. This job works closely with Marketing and Operations. This role requires professionalism with clients on premises and over phone and unparalleled customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Principal contact for all crews and production companies.
• Process new client orders and maintain existing jobs.
• Ensure correct equipment is scheduled for all jobs.
• Maintain effective, timely and accurate communication with all departments.
• Track status of all outgoing and incoming equipment and maintain accurate and timely records in the rental system.
• Keep Dept. Manager and Marketing abreast of low inventory levels of scheduled equipment.
• Arrange for sub- rentals with Dept. Manager or transfers from other Panavision offices of equipment needed to support projects.
• Arrange return of sub-rented equipment.
• Manage return of equipment back to original Panavision office by due date.
• Create purchase orders, send to vendor and receive in timely manner.
Skills/Experience Required:
• Prior experience in a customer servicerelated role
• Collaborative approach and team player
• High degree of accountability and able to hold others to account.
• Ability to work and maintain effectiveness under pressure, within tight deadlines and changing priorities.
• Well organized; self-starter.
• Good knowledge of camera equipment and accessories, or Panavision products and services preferred.
• Strong computer skills to include….
• Able to maintain proper balance between local goals/ objectives and overall company goals and objectives.
• Diplomacy.
• Strong attention to detail a must.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
This job operates in a warehouse environment. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands and reach with hands and arms. The employee may also be required to lift product or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Prompt and regular attendance is required, employees are expected to begin work at the start of their scheduled shift and to complete their assigned work shift according to the responsibilities of their position.
This position works standard business hours, but may require long hours and some weekend work.
