Part time Director's Assistant (Bilingual in English-Mandarin speaking a plus)
Are you interested in social media video production or filmmaking in general? Are you interested in travel to lovely places and delicious local foods? Then join us!
Palette Pictures is focused on producing high quality content for both Chinese and American markets. We are now producing social media content that introduces healthy lifestyles through travel with deliciously healthy food tips along the way.
We seek an assistant to assist our director in further developing and producing our ongoing travel video series. In light of the nature of social media, we always strive to produce high quality content with a small team of committed members.
This is a project-based one year part-time job. If you are an all-around rising talent who is passionate about filmmaking and enjoys travel and good food, please do not hesitate to apply!
Your qualifications:?
- BFA/MFA degree in film production, communication or a related field
- L.A. based with experience in some of the following fields: videography, editing, photoshop,
graphic design or social media marketing (gaining exposure on platforms like Douyin/Tiktok, YouTube, Instagram).
- good research and communication skills
- fluency in Chinese Mandarin a plus
- ability to travel in the U.S. and drive a plus
- some creative writing experience related to travel, food or wellness is a plus
- self-starter and self-motivated with good work ethics
Your primary responsibilities:?
- research, translate, shoot, edit, post the videos and manage the accounts
- coordinate between U.S. and Chinese teams during development, production and marketing
- communicate with external collaborators or business partners as liaison.
The ideal candidate would enthusiastically embrace the full scope of job responsibilities. However, we are also interested in applicants who are interested in portions of the listed job responsibilities.
Compensation:
- $15-$30/hour depending on the experience
- travel transportation, accommodations and per diem are provided during the travel production.
