Page 73 Productions, a non-profit theater company dedicated to developing and producing the works of early-career playwrights, seeks three part-time interns. We are looking for interns in the areas of Development, Producing, and Artistic:
Development Intern
This intern works directly with the Development Director to help solicit annual funds from individuals, foundations, and government entities. Highlights of this spring will be supporting the 20th Anniversary Campaign, the Annual Gala, and the Spring Appeal. This intern will learn how to write a thank you note, process donations, coordinate data management. He or she will have the opportunity to do some grant writing and help coordinate the logistics of busy fundraising office. You will excel at this internship if you are an excellent communicator, a strong writer, and is detail-oriented.
Producing Intern
This intern works with the Managing Director to run the business of Page 73 and coordinate the organizations outward messaging. Supporting general management this intern will have a hand in budgeting, contracts, vendor management, logistics, office management, and organizational systems. Supporting marketing, this internship will help maintain the website, social media accounts, and create eBlasts. You will excel at this internship if you are highly organized, not afraid of spreadsheets and numbers, self-motivated, a great proofreaders, and active on social media. Some graphic design skills would be ideal, but are not necessary.
Artistic Intern
This intern works closely with and provides support for Producing Artistic Director Michael Walkup. The intern will support Page 73's full range of artistic programming and will assist Michael with scheduling, theatre coverage, producing logistics, and other tasks. General administrative duties will be required. You will excel at this internship if you are good at coordinating logistics, managing a calendar and have interest in play structure and dramaturgy.
All Page 73 interns have access to the organizational leadership. We recognize that these internships are learning opportunity and whenever possible we will answer questions and explain processes. Regardless of your internship, you will you will meet our artists and interact with our Board and donors, you will be able to read scripts, and you will be invited to attend (or work) all of our events. YOU will be asked to do run errands and do less than glamorous tasks - but, hey that's part of being an intern anywhere. Page 73 interns must be reliable, intelligent, kind, and game for anything. Our interns are a valuable part of the Page 73 team!
Intern Requirements
• Hours are flexible, but Interns are expected to work 20 hours over the course of each week during business hours, which are generally 10am-6pm, Monday through Friday. Ideally, the intern would be available from time to time to assist with nighttime events.
• We are hoping for interns to begin as early as late January and stay with us through the end of June but we are flexible based on school schedules.
• Applicants should be currently enrolled students for the duration of the internship, or should be recent (May 2018) graduates.
• Interns should live within commutable distance, as errands are sometimes required at the beginning or end of the work day. Page 73's office is located in the Fort Greene neighborhood of Brooklyn, near Atlantic Center, at 80 Hanson Place.
• Candidates should be self-starters who are able to work independently on a variety of projects. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Gmail/Google Drive required. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Mailchimp (or similar marketing email platform), and OvationTix (or similar ticketing platform) a plus.
Intern Benefits
• $50 weekly stipend and course credit if desired.
