This is a Full Time Job
The Retail Business Coordinator plays a key support role across both the business and operational functions. This role is intentionally split, with approximately 50% of time dedicated to retail business coordination and 50% supporting Team Store and retail operations, offering a well-rounded opportunity for a detail-oriented, proactive team member to develop within a fast-paced sports and entertainment environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
RETAIL BUSINESS COORDINATION:
Assist the VP of Merchandising & Retail with:
• Analyzing retail sales of all brands
• Attending vendor and/or NBA League meetings as required
• Maintaining merchandising assortment plan
• Writing and editing all purchase orders and SKUs within retail software
• Tracking of monthly receipts, communicating any delivery delays or changes to VP of Merchandising & Retail
• Timely completion of all internal and League mandated reporting
• Other duties as assigned
TEAM STORE OPERATIONS:
Assisting with daily operations of the Team Store and/or merchandise warehouse as requested, which may include opening/closing of store, assuming game day or event responsibilities, assisting with e-commerce fulfillment or other warehouse functions.
Assist the Director of Retail Operations with:
• Maintaining part-time headcount year-round and seasonal peaks by actively recruiting and interviewing candidates
• Conducting new hire department orientation for new hires
• Assisting in creating monthly schedules for part-time staff
• Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant retail operations and/or merchandising experience with a passion for the sports & entertainment industry required
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in related field, highly preferred
• Experience in recruiting and training highly preferred
• Excels in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and accuracy is essential
• Displays the ability to collaborate cross-functionally, think analytically and will take initiative
• Communicates effectively and professionally
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel with an understanding of retail math
• Understands the importance of creating a retail environment that inspires our fans, achieves annual financial metrics, and expands our brand reach
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret instructions and reports. Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Manager, Clients, Customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Good understanding of retail math concepts and calculations. Strong analytical skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret directions.
PROBLEM SOLVING REQUIREMENTS:
Employee must effectively communicate with customers and other employees and must exercise discretion when making sales.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Employee should be adept at Microsoft office software, Outlook, Excel, Retail POS system
