Broadcast Sideline Reporter (Part-Time)
The Broadcast Sideline Reporter will serve as the sideline reporter for all Mad Ants home broadcasts at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Report 90 minutes prior to tipoff
• Act as sideline reporter for broadcasts on NBA G League Website, ESPN , etc.
• Gather information for reporting on broadcast
• Build positive energy using both voice and body language
• Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. • Experience as on-camera talent – Sideline Reporter, Play by Play, Analyst, etc.
• Ability to improvise in fast moving environment
• Ability to develop rapport with coaches, players, and staff
• Extensive knowledge of the game of basketball
• Outstanding personality
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
The ability to read, analyze, and interpret instructions and reports is necessary. In addition, one should be able to write reports and correspondence. One is also required to act appropriately in a business setting and effectively communicate with co-workers, clients, and the general public.
