This is a Full Time Job
PS&E is seeking a Broadcast Engineer to assist the Director of Broadcast Engineering and the production staff in the operation and maintenance of Gainbridge television production facilities, building cabling, NBA HSAN facilities, basketball video coaching facilities, and other building A/V facilities. This role will work with mobile production trucks and various remote productions within the facilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist in the configuration of equipment as needed for various productions including cameras, cables, audio boards, intercoms, microphones, routers, video monitors, audio monitors, and other related broadcast equipment.
• Assist in network administration of editing network consisting of PC Adobe CC Editors, Scale Logic Server, and Cat DV/Spectra Logic archive system.
• Assist in all aspects of integration including installation / configuration of new or temporary equipment, running/terminating copper or fiber optic cables.
• Work with the NBA to configure, maintain, and operate the HSAN equipment.
• Assist with the maintenance of video coaching facilities.
• Supervise freelance staff and coordinate various event productions.
• Assist in creating clear SOPs, technical reference documents and drawings to share with broadcast team.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Availability to work evening and weekends is required for this position.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
• Associate's degree from an accredited university or technical college
• Proficient communication skills
• Strong understanding of broadcast television fundamentals
• Strong computer background with networking experience
• Electronics experience with advanced understanding of signal flow
• Working knowledge and experience of SMPTE 2110 production environment
• Ability to work with IP signal flow, ethernet packet analysis and/or network performance management tools
• Familiarity with Analog/SD/HD SDI signals
• Ability to use SD/HD SDI routing switchers and patch panels to connect SD/HD SDI sources to destinations
• Ability to create custom video/audio and ethernet cable assemblies
• Ability to perform systems checks to find, trouble shoot and fix any abnormalities
• Familiarity with MPEG-4 encoders, MPEG transport streams, and satellite transmission equipment
• Prior experience with analog, digital and IP audio systems
• Prior broadcast operations experience/interest in television engineering is preferred
