Freelance Job
The Newsroom Video PA is responsible for contributing to a converged multi-platform video content pipeline. They will master file management and archiving while editing platform-specific content. They will master Pac-12 Networks editing tools and our editorial voice; while contributing to newsroom and bullpen game coverage teams. The job is headquartered in San Francisco with evening and weekend work as dictated by events and 20-30 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
• Craft video content using Dalet and Adobe Premiere
• Curate content by platform
• Provide video coverage for games, shows and tentpole events on nights and weekends
• Create graphical elements in Adobe Photoshop and After Effects using toolkits
• Assist in creating footage melts for media distribution
• Participate in newsroom decisions with editorial and social staff to create content and support Pac-12 Networks' mission and voice
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements:
• Bachelor degree with 2 years’ experience in video production
• Ability to execute platform-specific content in varied formats (square, vertical 16x9)
• Comfortable in digital and television production environments
• Deep knowledge of Pac-12 sports and teams
• Self-starter requiring little oversight while maintaining excellent attention to detail
• Experience managing multiple projects concurrently
• Willingness to work hours as dictated by the news cycle and sports including evenings and weekends.
