Full Time Job
The Social Media Communications Manager will provide leadership, editorial guidance, and strategic and tactical support for Pac-12 digital and social media efforts. This position will report to Director, Public Relations at the Pac-12 Conference and will work closely with and will orchestrate social media efforts across a wide spectrum of stakeholders including the Pac-12 Conference, Pac-12 Networks, and our 12 member universities.
The right person for the role will be a strong team player with creative flair, superior communication and relationship-building skills, and a strong understanding of social media monetization and execution of sponsored campaigns. He/she will serve as the primary liaison with the Sales & Partnership Development team on all strategy and execution of revenue-generating and sponsorship fulfillment aspects of social media efforts for the Pac-12 Networks
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Collaborate closely with Sales and Partnership Development teams to ideate on monetization and revenue-generating concepts and opportunities. Build calendar elements and execute with coordination across production teams.
• Assist social strategy development and manage execution to align with Pac-12 objectives.
• Drive KPIs including engagement, reach, video views, and duration.
• Provide creative support and ideation for digital and social media content creation.
• Develop strong working relationships across Pac-12 Conference and Pac-12 Networks as well as each member university.
• Manage freelancers as needed
• Provide member universities with superior service including best practices and shared content.
• Coordinate live streaming across multiple social platforms.
• Manage social audience insights reporting for influencing campaigns and content development.
• Production of branded content elements.
• Manage paid social media marketing budgets, campaign creation, and maintenance and reporting.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be a sports fanatic and social media expert
• Proven ability to engage sports fans by creating content on a variety of social media platforms
• Experience developing and executing on revenue-generating aspects of social media as well as partnership campaigns and fulfillment
• Good existing relationships with social media partners and platforms
• A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience, with at least two years working closely with sales and sponsorship campaigns
• BA or BS degree
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and partners
• Ability to work sports hours including evenings and weekends
