Full Time Job
The Production Coordinator- SDP (Software Defined Production) Operations reports to the Senior Manager, Technical Direction - Studio, and supports all of the production and operational tasks involved in the television production of each of the Pac-12 Network's SDP events. The position is based in the Pac-12 Network Studio/Offices located in San Francisco and is an on-premises role.
Responsibilities:
• Primary operational manager of the vMix (SDP, Software Defined Production) systems for updates, new elements, triggers, VB (Visual Basic) scripts, and maintenance.
• This person must be an expert in vMix functionality (with the ability to adapt to other software-based switchers), file structure, settings, and replay use for live sports production.
• This person must understand using data sources to power GT Title graphics including URL and Credential settings, permissions for access, formatting, and labeling for data.
• Understanding and writing VB scripts to control audio, meta-tagging, camera selection, replay duration, and data manipulation are a must.
• Responsible for setting up the shows and presets and shutting down the system when the events are complete, verifying the melt.
• Responsible for training new ops for SDP events, inclusive of; functionality, inputs, audio, triggers, VB scripts, GT Title graphics and replay use.
• Assist Engineering with set up days, troubleshooting, and testing as needed.
• Coordinate with Production to prepare necessary elements for each sport and event.
• Actively support SDP operators to continue driving production quality higher while also collecting feedback from production, operations, and engineering.
• Fill in as an SDP operator when needed.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the Senior Manager, Technical Director – Studio.
Requirements:
• Must have 3 years of experience with automated production software, including but not limited to vMix. Experience as a vMix operator on fast-paced, graphics-intensive live sporting events preferred.
• Expertise in all functions of vMix including vMix 25, and preset bundles for distribution to distant facilities. Extensive shortcut and scripting knowledge needed, including stacked triggers and multiple function scripting.
• Experience with Remote Desktop systems, Parsec preferred
• Previous sports production operations experience preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Excellent people, organizational, and communication skills are essential.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google applications.
• Must be self-disciplined and self-motivated and have the ability to comprehend the extensive production operations and schedules.
• Meticulous attention to detail while balancing multiple projects with changing deadlines.
• Demonstrates ability to prioritize under time constraints and work successfully in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds and climb a ladder.
• Experience working in a culturally diverse organization and supporting the values held by our unique employees, clients, sponsors, university faculty, and fans.

• Must be willing and able to work flexible schedules including evenings, overnights, weekends, and most holidays.
