This is a Full Time Job
The Account Specialist will be responsible for developing and managing integrated marketing and media presentations. Working closely with the sales group, you will also interface and collaborate with Pac-12 Networks business units, along with the Pac-12 Conference marketing, operations group, key stakeholders to develop marketing and programs around Pac-12 Networks content and events.
The Account Specialist will have a high level of energy, creativity, and attention to detail combined with a thorough understanding of marketing principles related to using sports sponsorships as a branding and promotional platform, as well as business development and customer entertainment objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Strategic planning and assessment
• Development of sales presentations through packaging and activating platforms leveraging Pac-12 Networks assets strategically delivering a client-focused solution
• Interface with prospective corporate partners and their respective agencies (sports, advertising, etc.) to align with our ideas and with their brand marketing objectives
• Lead annual renewal conversations with partners at the end of their current contract utilizing a strategic, exploratory approach
• Partner Services
• Manage a portfolio of higher tier corporate partners and execute and fulfill against these sponsorships
• This position will assist with all Pac-12 Championships.
• Maintain consistent high-level communication with our external key partners, successfully understanding rationale behind partnership and yearly key performance indicators
• Activation platform and creative development
• Approach sponsorship creatively and non-traditionally through marketing, branding, and activation ideas
• Ability to transfer conventional idea to tactical execution and overall creative look
• Continuous development and refinement of partnership activation ideas
• Knowledge and understanding of new media, research, consumer insights, and marketing trends
• Creating ROI-centric activation programs
• Developing end-to-end activation programs
• Leveraging both traditional and non-traditional marketing channels
• Understanding of marketing research; quantitative and qualitative
• Building library of sports industry insights
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, activation best practices, and new media marketing efforts, while developing a full understanding of Pac-12 Networks properties and offerings
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's Degree, with concentration in marketing or sports marketing management
• Must have a minimum of 3-4 years marketing, sales development experience within the sports marketing industry to Include: sports marketing, advertising agency, league, team or media ITV broadcast areas including production and content
• Must have solid track record of developing and executing integrated marketing platforms using media content, promotions, retail activation, digital social, and event-based programs to support a client's marketing objectives
• Must have a keen understanding of the college sports industry
• Must have exceptional positive attitude and team-based philosophy
• Must have exceptional oral and written communications skills
• Strong experience managing the development and implementation of sponsorship marketing strategy on behalf of client company brand
• Ability to think strategically and creatively
• Strong interpersonal skill with an ability to work independently as well as within a group dynamic
• Excellent time management skills
• Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and Photoshop
