Full Time Job
Pac-12 Networks is searching for a strategic National Sales Manager looking to grow and continue his/her career in the sports and college space. The National Sales Manager, Integrated Sponsorship & Sales, engages with advertisers/corporate brands directly and their associated agencies to sell media and sponsorship event assets across all platforms: national media, local media, digital, and sponsorship/events. You will work with our National media sales organization, Fox-Home Team Sports (HTS), and manage the HTS offices (New York, Chicago, Detroit, Dallas, Atlanta, and Los Angeles) as well as new business efforts outside of our Pac-12 footprint. Identify and cultivate strong relationships with key personnel on targeted accounts who make or influence advertising and sponsorship purchasing decisions. This will also include working with partner services, pricing and planning, marketing, research and other Pac-12 internal departments that provide support and resources.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for generating revenue with national sales arm across key cities in the U.S.
• Develop new business opportunities nationally direct to companies and agencies
• Successfully drive and close deals
• Successfully execute against plan to reach and exceed revenue targets
• Manage and update sales reporting systems navigating short term and long-term goals
• Participate in pricing negotiations and advertising placement
• Perform necessary analysis and planning to assure that the objectives and priorities for each sales call are established and met in time frames acceptable to the client
• Utilize research to assess what Pac-12 Enterprises solutions will work best for the specific client need and keep current with industry trends and client business news
• Other duties as assigned by the Senior Vice President, Integrated Sponsorships & Sales
Success will be measured by:
• Major contributor of revenue targets across advertising sales, digital sales and corporate partnerships
• Addition of new corporate partners for the Pac-12 Networks
• High success rate for renewals of current partners
• Ability to work well and effectively with internal team and external sales agencies
Requirements:
• 7-10 years of experience working in media sales, sponsorship sales, or advertising agency – actively selling to and managing corporate clients
• Experience with solutions-driven selling
• Demonstrated record of achieving revenue targets
• Proven ability to develop and strengthen client relationships
• Proven track record of success in a team-based sales environment
• Strong business acumen with respect to media and sponsorship industries
• Team player who possess leadership skills
• Excellent writing and presentation skills required
• Proficient in Windows-based software (Excel and PowerPoint)
• Must be detail oriented and resourceful
• Domestic travel will be required (ability to travel 1-2x per month)
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
• Passion for sports and college sports
• Understanding of the digital display marketplace, technical aptitude, and strong analytical skills
