This is a Full Time Job
The Director, Growth Marketing will drive the expansion of Pac-12’s audiences across all digital platforms, including TVE, OTT, mobile, web, and social. This innovative lead contributor will become the in-house advocate for our fans with the goal of building scalable acquisition, engagement, and retention strategies. We’re looking for a self-starter who enjoys using both art and science to ensure delivery of the right content and messages in the right channels to the right fans at the right times. This person will maximize our existing capabilities and guide the build-out of a holistic, multi-channel growth operation through in-house development and third-party tools, partnering with Product, Data, Creative Services, and Content, and reporting directly to the Vice President of Audience Development.
What you’ll do:
• Lead experimentation in and scaling of current and potential digital user acquisition channels and conversion funnels. Strategies include email, push and in-app messaging, landing pages, sweepstakes, paid social, and other forms of digital advertising (search, programmatic, retargeting, and display).
• Partner with the Creative Services, Social, Product, and Data teams to continuously test, track, and improve conversion-oriented campaigns by optimizing creative strategy, content strategy, targeting, and timing
• Refine, expand, and implement our email strategy, including content, list growth, and list hygiene. Define and optimize automated emails and own the organization’s ''rules of engagement'' for access to our lists
• Build and deepen positive, relevant, and personalized fan experiences (onboarding/welcome, retention, advocacy, winback) via all messaging channels including email, push, in-app, and retargeting
• Ensure compliance with CAN-SPAM and CCPA
• Collaborate with the Data teams to deepen our understanding of Pac-12 fan segments, conduct member surveys, and track key metrics, and use these insights to identify product features and messaging strategies that will level up acquisition, engagement, and retention
• Share audience insights with the broader organization in order to accelerate improvements to the fan experience
• Collaborate with the Creative Director on project briefs to help define project objectives, strategy, and goals
• Manage assigned Audience Development budgets
• Manage intern during Audience Development rotation
• Perform other duties as assigned by VP, Audience Development

What we’re looking for:
• 5 years of experience in growth marketing, CRM, or digital audience development at a consumer-facing brand
• An experimentation mindset and experience conceiving, designing, and implementing A/B, longitudinal cohort, or multivariate tests
• Expertise in Campaign Monitor and CleverTap, or similar marketing automation tools
• Demonstrable content strategy, messaging or copywriting chops
• Proven ability to frame questions and interpret data and customer insights to identify growth levers
• A track record of successful execution of performance marketing campaigns with at least $10k/ month in spend. Expertise in one or more of: SEM (Google Adwords / Bing Ads), paid social (Facebook, Insta, Twitter), or retargeting
• Working fluency with as many as possible of the following: Domo, Google Analytics, Facebook for Business, Instagram Insights, Twitter Analytics
• A desire to roll up your sleeves and get the work done yourself
• Self-awareness and openness to feedback from both customers and colleagues
• Skill at partnering interdepartmentally in an environment with multiple stakeholders
• Excellence at juggling multiple projects, staying organized, and prioritizing deadlines
• BA/BS degree
Bonus points for:
• Affinity for collegiate sports and/or a Pac-12 school
• Experience in sports or streaming media
• Experience defining best practices for SEO and monitoring search KPIs across web, mobile web, and app stores
