Intern - Marketing & Distribution

Oscilloscope Laboratories distributes unique, independently produced films in theaters, on DVD, digitally, and via osmosis. We are looking for interns to assist with all aspects of our company. In return, we will teach you how to fold space and time, and also learn the ins and outs of film distribution.
The releases, projects and events every semester may vary but typically interns can expect to work with each department in the following capacities:

Acquisitions - interns will assist in researching upcoming films festivals such as TIFF, SXSW and Sundance, as well as other sorts of upcoming releases. They will also have the opportunity to watch new films and provide feedback for acquisitions consideration.

Marketing - interns will assist in promoting upcoming new releases through research and grassroots marketing.
Social Media Marketing - interns will create & run the Oscilloscope TikTok account, posting 2-5 videos a week

Theatrical - interns will assist with the shipment and delivery of materials such as posters, trailers, Blu-rays and DCPs to theaters. They may also assist this department by contacting theaters to make sure materials have arrived, are in use and all websites are correct and up to date.

Home Video (Physical) - interns will assist with the quality control checks of our DVDs and Blu rays as well as the creation of disc chapters. They may also have the opportunity to assist in the creation of special features.

Home Video (Digital) - interns may assist with the collection of metadata and the creation of art assets to be delivered to digital VOD, SVOD and AVOD platforms.

Shipping & Deliveries - interns will assist with a variety of shipments, including store orders, and may be asked to make small deliveries to industry partners with local offices such as Criterion, Technicolor and Chromavision. (In-Person Only)
