A quick summary about the Youth Development and Engagement Graduate Associateship role:
The Youth Engagement and Development Graduate Associate will focus on assisting the development and strategic marketing of youth initiatives while developing lifelong fans of the Orlando Magic. This position will support various initiatives including youth basketball, relationship building and youth marketing.
What the Youth Development and Engagement Graduate Associates will be responsible for:
• Assist in the managing of youth basketball relationship development and marketing initiatives, including creative development, digital engagement and youth engagement and programming
• Execute various requests related to youth basketball marketing plans
• Assist with tracking and distribution of promotional items, autographs and youth basketballs
• Assist in maintaining and facilitating relationships with current and new youth partners
• Provide key support during our various youth initiatives, including, camps, clinics and various youth events
• Manage youth email account and youth website updates
• Assist the Social Responsibility team as needed
• All other duties as assigned
What the Youth Development and Engagement Graduate Associate needs to have:
• Post Grad (recent college graduates within 24 months of graduation) or graduate-level college students required
• Degree in marketing and/or sports management preferred
• 1-2 years of marketing or sports management experience preferred
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office products and other related computer skills required
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure
• Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on business writing skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects
• Ability to work independently without supervision, be self-directed and demonstrate initiative
• Strong team synergy skills and ability to work collaboratively with others whom you have no direct authority over
• Excellent ability to establish rapport with others and ability to build strong interpersonal relationships
• Exhibit good judgment and decision-making skills
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends and be on-call as necessary based on the changing priorities of the department
