Department: Women's Lifestyle/Makeful
Responsibilities:
-Create shareable, brandable and inspirational DIY editorial content for BeMakeful.
-Upload and optimize all website and video content to achieve website traffic and revenue goals
-Source and manage freelance writers for the website, editing each article that is published on the site
-Collaboratively work with the Art Director to create article thumbnails and imagery
-Develop a clear editorial vision and voice, and ensure the monthly editorial calendar fulfills on all necessary content categories
-Work with the programming and production teams to incorporate video content in an effective manner
-Monitor, communicate, and incorporate emerging media and DIY, crafting and home décor trends across all platforms
-Seek out and engage influencers in editorial content
-Expand upon existing editorial formats to create key brandable content for sales to take to market
-With sales, execute native brand integrations and ad placement
Qualifications:
-3-5 years of editorial experience, preferably in the Women's Lifestyle/DIY space
-Bachelors degree in Journalism, Communications or similar field preferred
-Excellent verbal and written skills with a distinct editorial voice
-Deep understanding of digital DIY content - editorial, YouTube, Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram video, Facebook Live, etc.
-Facility with web analytics, Google docs and working in a CMS.
-Ability to motivate and lead others in the development and execution of creative projects
-Demonstrated team player and collaborator in an environment that fosters creativity and a culture of open and honest communication
