Position Summary:
The Sales Manager is responsible for the solicitation, sales, processing and fulfillment of group tickets to events at the Holland Performing Arts Center and Orpheum Theater, including events presented by Omaha Performing Arts, such as touring Broadway and cultural arts performances as well as event rentals. As a sales professional, the position prospects for new leads, retains current customers and nurtures business relationships to increase attendance at events at the venues and help to achieve the earned revenue goals of the organization. This position is responsible for sales reporting on groups, single tickets and overall campaign performance.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develops an annual sales and business plan to meet established group sales goals, identifies the timing of show specific promotions, and details the various sales strategies that will be implemented.
• Solicits group and corporate clients to sell tickets to Omaha Performing Arts' events, including touring
Broadway and cultural arts performances.
• Prospects for new corporate and group clients using various sales methods including phone solicitation, personal visits, cold-calling, and attending networking events, such as meetings, trade shows, festivals, seminars, workshops, CVB/Chamber/Rotary/City events, etc.
• Plans, coordinates, and executes Group Sales events as needed.
• Develops show specific promotions to help increase revenue and attendance.
• Collaborates with the department on sales materials, messaging, promotions, emails, and groups and single ticket campaign reporting and analysis.
• Studies artist and show materials to gain a working knowledge of the various performances and events presented at the venues.
• Negotiates and executes corporate and group sales agreements.
• Periodically reviews the policies and procedures for group sales to ensure that they are up to date and aligned with organizational standards.
• Works in Tessitura with an emphasis on group sales, package and single ticket transaction and reporting.
• Runs weekly and on-demand reports using Tessitura, OPA Report Manager and T-Stats.
• Represents Group Sales at the weekly Broadway Across America conference calls.
• Understands overall sales goals and maintains accurate records of all pricing and sales.
• Oversees fulfillment process for printing and distribution of group and corporate clients' tickets.
• Supports Ticket Omaha during high volume on-sales and as requested.
• Works with public relations to arrange meet and greets and special events for group sales patrons.
