We will look to you to develop new corporate partnerships and work to renew existing sponsorships. You will understand the power of the Thunder brand and the data supporting the value of a relationship to current and potential partners. Along with your fellow sales professionals, you will generate sustaining revenue streams by procuring corporate partnerships. You will listen to client needs and collaborate cross-departmentally to bundle our business assets including television, radio, internet, social media, tickets and suites to craft effective marketing platforms for our partners and drive long-term revenue for the company.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Deliver annual sales results and successfully build and maintain a portfolio of clients
• Market and sell fully-integrated corporate partnership programs to local, regional and national businesses
• Research and prospect for new business leads continually, using creativity to envision and initiate new business-to-business connections
• Coordinate and deliver unique and polished sales presentations with confidence
• Develop and implement in-market/retail promotions to add new value for your clients
• Provide second-to-none client service and renew existing partnerships
• Assist in a variety of department-related duties on event nights
• Establish and maintain substantial connectedness in the community and regularly attend community events
• Maintain good attendance and punctuality
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
and Requirements:
• You have earned a bachelor's degree or possess a minimum of two years' experience in agency, media or partnership sales
• You are knowledgeable in the practices and principles related to media sales, sponsorship activation, and business development
• Your background in professional sports can be described as extensive
• You have the ability to develop successful, mutually-beneficial working relationships with potential corporate clients
• You understand teamwork and enjoy working closely with account managers to provide a team approach that fulfills client interests and overall partnership objectives
• You are a self-starter, successful working with limited supervision
• Your sales style reflects both drive and resilience and your team orientation allows you to motivate and be motived by those around you as you focus on both individual and departmental growth
• You are well-spoken and have excellent written communication skills as well as listening skills
• You have an exceptional work ethic and a strong desire to succeed
• You express a personal brand that is professional and creative
• Your ability to make connections across cultural demographics broadens your portfolio and builds a robust network of potential clients
• You have impeccable attention to detail and time management skills
Additional Information:
• This position requires regular local travel so reliable transportation, a valid driver's license and clean driving record are required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint or similar presentation tools
• We strongly prefer bi-lingual communication skills in English and Spanish to help cultivate new avenues of opportunity
• Work schedule will include office hours as well as game night responsibilities on evenings, weekends and holidays
This is a full-time, exempt position, reporting to the Senior Account Executive, Business Development.
