EDITOR
(Part-Time Position)
OddBot Inc is looking for an Editor to join our Shorts and Special Projects division! The editor will work closely with our Creative Directors and be responsible for maintaining the creative integrity of the project throughout the production and post-production process.

*RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be responsible for the accurate presentation of all materials related to the film (i.e. story reels, work in progress, previews, outputs, etc.)
- May be required to hosts reviews for producers, directors, and/or clients while performing technical QC of shots
- Comfortable in a typical editorial working environment, including remote work from home
- Ability to diagnose, treat, and provide solutions when discrepancies arise
- The ability to handle and explain technical issues with non-technical staff or clients, as well as the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously while keeping calm and maintaining an acute attention to detail is extremely important
- Previous experience in an editorial environment, like a D.I, Post house, VFX and Animation preferred
- The candidate should also have a desire to learn new software, methods, and workflows
- Leads and/or participates in scratch, production, and ADR dialogue recording sessions as needed
- Build the initial animatics for project along with revising as needed per internal and/or network notes.
- Edit initial audio as needed
- For final picture, compile final footage, cut together final shots, add transitions, and input final timing adjustments
- Add effects as needed (After Effects)
- Color correct and adjust audio if needed
- Revise final edit as needed which may include but not limited to cutting in revisions from prior week's episode and revising effects from prior week's episodes
- Responsible for the creation of all delivery and outputs from Editorial
- Is the primary point of contact with Technical Directors in production
- Acts as a creative liaison between Directors/Production, sound designer, and mixers
- Attends all screenings (studio and preview) if needed, and works with Directors to incorporate changes resulting from those screenings
- Attends production meetings as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be fluent in Adobe Premiere Pro
- Experience preferable with, Maya, 3D Max, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Cinema 4d.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong teammate with good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Combination of creative and organizational skills with great attention to quality products.
- Understanding of pre-production, production, and post-production in film production processes.
- Knowledge of multiple file formats, like EXR, MXF, DPX, QT, JPG, BRAW, etc
- Must be proactive and a multitasker
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and keep a schedule
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Must be able to communicate effectively (verbally and electronically) with all staff
- Must be able to be organized and efficient in a fast-paced working environment
- Must be able to execute priority tasks on or before deadlines
- Must be able to use and navigate the aforementioned software proficiently
PAY RANGE
$60-$65/hr
