This is a Part Time Job
The Oakland Athletics are currently seeking a seasonal, hourly Part-Time Spring Training Advance Box Office Ticket Seller in Mesa, AZ. This position will report directly to the Spring Training Box Office Supervisor and will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
• Ticket Seller will perform work on a computerized ticketing sales software to sell tickets and provide customer service to walk up customers at Hohokam Stadium in Mesa AZ.
• On the computer, the seller must be able to find events, find tickets within the events, process any applicable discounts, process payment for the tickets, and print the tickets. Ticket sales may include events in Arizona and for the regular season in Oakland CA.
• Ticket Seller is also responsible for printing tickets set up for will call in the ticketing system, and for handling any hard ticket will call orders as directed.
• For customer service purposes, seller may be required to exchange seats in the ticketing system.
• Ticket Seller will sign out a change bank at the beginning of each daily shift, and must balance all payments for tickets sold during the shift and return the amount of the change bank at the end of each shift.
• Ticket Seller will be responsible for maintaining the security of their ticketing system computer login and daily cash drawer.
• Ticket Seller at all times will provide superior customer service to Oakland A's patrons in person at the A's Box Office.
• Ticket Seller may be required to direct game day lines and flow of people between box office windows or automated kiosks and entry gates.
• Ticket Seller will gain knowledge and understanding of the Oakland A's organization to best assist A's patrons and A's company employees.
• Seller will provide overall Ticket Operations and Ticket Services assistance as needed.
• All other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Ability to perform work in a fast-paced sales environment
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Previous customer service experience, especially in person retail sales
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Candidates must be enthusiastic with a strong work ethic
• Demonstrated computer proficiency
• Ability to work flexible hour including nights, weekends and holidays
