Part Time Unpaid Internship

Description:
The Oakland Athletics are currently seeking Group Sales Interns for the 2019 season. This position is responsible for supporting the Ticket Sales Department in various capacities on game-days. The ideal candidate should have an interest in working in professional sports and will gain valuable experience that can lead to a future full-time role in the sports industry. Candidates must be available to work a majority of all 81 home games from March through September. Four (4) group sales internship positions are available and each Group Sales intern will work on average 20 hours per week when the team has home games.
Responsibilities:
• Provide customer service support to Group Sales & hospitality clients on game days
• Interact with fans while coordinating theme night & special ticket activation areas
• Work closely with the Group Sales manager with game day logistics & theme nights
• Support the Ticket Sales department with various day of game duties & preparation
• Assist in coordination of Group Sales fan experience package program
• Assist with Group Sales rewards program (field visits, on-field batting practices, etc.)
• Provide administrative support to the Ticket Sales management team as needed
• Represent the A's in a positive, enthusiastic, and professional manner
Qualifications
/Requirements:
• This position is open to current college students or recent graduates
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, holidays and the majority of A's home games
• Provide excellent customer service
• Candidates must be enthusiastic with a strong work ethic and a desire start a career in professional sports
• Detail-oriented individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize assigned duties to maintain efficiency
• This seasonal position will start in March and conclude at the end of the season
