Pay Rate: $15.97/hr
Location: Oakland, CA
Job Summary
The Gameday Intern, Office of the President (OOP) should first and foremost ensure an efficient, safe, and professional gameday experience for the President, as well as guests, clients, and fans. The Gameday Intern, Office of the President is an essential component of the department as the President's time on gameday is invaluable. The Gameday Intern is a reflection of the Athletics' brand and should always embody the organization's pillars in interactions with fans, customers, clients, media, employees, etc.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage gameday schedule and logistics with respect to the President including media, office hour appointments, fan engagement and other essential gameday responsibilities of the President
• Manage external and internal gameday correspondence on behalf of the President in a timely and professional manner
• Engage with fans, customers, and clients to provide exceptional service during gameday
• Work closely with other staff to identify and understand gameday challenges and help provide suggestions to management for improving customer service and internal processes related to gameday
• Assist in creating reports to recap homestand performance for internal review
• Assist Alumni & Family Relations departments with gameday events
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent; must be enrolled in an accredited university/college program
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-directed and able to work without supervision
• Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
• Applicants must be 18 years or older.
• Able to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, holidays, and game days
• Knowledge of the Oakland, CA area preferred
• Proficient with G Suite and Microsoft Office
