NYU Langone Health seeks an assistant production coordinator for busy Creative Services department within Marketing and Communications. Working closely with the department Coordinator and other members of a small team, the Assistant Production Coordinator will help manage a full project queue from pre through post-production. We work with clients across the NYU Langone Health institution and create content for news media, marketing, internal and institutional communications, social media, medical training, corporate lectures and events. We have almost daily shoots and no two weeks are the same for our department. The Assistant Production Coordinator will contribute to creating engaging, informative content that helps advance institutional goals. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in corporate video/photo production.
This job will be part time, totaling no more than 20 hours per week. Possibility for fully remote position after the first few weeks. Scheduled days are up for discussion. Start date of 2/1/23 is flexible.
Job Responsibilities:
-Assist the Digital Media Producer overseeing projects in pre-production, production, and post-production.
-Assist in updating a demanding departmental calendar with shoots and meetings.
-Attend regular virtual team meetings.
-Coordinate shoot details - booking locations, scheduling, wardrobe information, scripts, etc.
-Prepare and send call sheet emails to staff and clients.
-Communicate with in-house and freelance staff.
-Assist with new project intake - emailing clients for information, setting up meetings, etc.
-Update department project and billing trackers daily (Trello, Google Docs, Excel)
-Upload video content, select appropriate poster images, and deliver to clients.
-Organize edit materials and information for in-house and freelance editors.
-Assist with edit delivery of rough and final video cuts.
-Under the direction of managers, review edit cuts for quality control.
-Assist with booking and tracking photography shoots, add metadata in photo library, and help research photos as needed.
Ideal Traits:
-Ideal candidates are very organized and able to track multiple projects at once.
-Take initiative to identify and execute production needs.
-Excellent professional email and meeting etiquette.
-Interest in video production and photography. Bachelor's Degree in Film/Television/Media or a related field a plus.
-Understanding of the video production process or willingness to learn.
-Works well independently and with a team.
-Positive attitude and demeanor, and willingness to be flexible with changing production needs.
-Comfortable discussing and working with confidential material and medical photo/video.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's Degree in Film & Television, Media, or a related field
-1-2 years' experience working on film, video, or tv productions
-Knowledge of policies/regulations shooting in and around New York City (i.e., pulling permits, certificates of insurance, etc)
