The Human Resources Manager's primary duties include all aspects of hiring and retaining a world-class game development team. Working directly with the CEO, they will establish the best employment policies and practices while ensuring the administrative needs of the business are addressed in a timely and professional manner. They will help hiring managers to define position requirements, source and evaluate candidates, facilitate interviews through the final candidate selection process and provide HR support throughout their careers.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of HR including: benefits, compensation, personnel policies, relocation, on-boarding, career pathing, performance management, and succession planning.
- Develop a strong vision for HR that will enable Nuclear Division to recruit and retain the industry's top talent.
- Consult with hiring managers to identify qualified applicants, conduct screening interviews and coordinate on-site interviews.
- Regularly update and maintain recruiting database.
- Coordinate and staff off-site recruiting events.
- Ensure the office runs in a smooth, efficient manner.
- Provide administrative support to the team.
- Work as a liaison with building management and office service suppliers.
- Assist with organization of company events.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years HR experience, preferably in a tech, entertainment or start-up environment.
- Extensive experience aligning HR strategies with business objectives.
- A successful track record of building strong, cohesive teams within art, engineering, design, and animation.
- Experience using search engines, job sites, and social networks in researching and implementing new candidate sourcing.
- Exceptional organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Team-oriented attitude with the ability to work under pressure with fast-paced deadlines.
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel).
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Great to have:
- Prior experience with Applicant Tracking Systems/databases such as Taleo.
- Deep love and understanding of video games.
