Location: Washington, D.C.

NTD, the sister media of The Epoch Times, is looking for a Social Media Producer to join our Washington, D.C. bureau and drive the distribution and growth of our political coverage across digital social media platforms.

This role is focused on maximizing reach and engagement- turning daily reporting into consistent, high-performing social content.

What You’ll Do:
-Drive the daily social presence for our political coverage across YouTube, X, Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms—ensuring our reporting reaches audiences quickly and effectively

-Create engaging short-form video content by identifying the most compelling moments from interviews, press briefings, and political reporting

-Craft clear, attention-grabbing captions and hooks that highlight key insights and encourage audiences to watch, share, and engage

-Use your instincts and platform knowledge to expand the reach of our journalism, helping important stories travel further online

-Work closely with reporters and video production teams to quickly transform breaking news and original reporting into social-ready content

-Monitor performance and continuously refine content strategy based on audience response and platform trends

What We’re Looking For:
-Strong social media instincts: You understand how audiences consume news on social platforms and know how to package content to capture attention and drive engagement

-Editorial judgment: You can quickly identify the most meaningful and compelling moments in political coverage and turn them into impactful clips

-Political newsroom familiarity: Experience working in a fast-paced news environment, with an understanding of national politics and current events

Additional qualifications:
-3-5 years of experience in social media, digital news, or video content production

-Experience collaborating with video editors or production teams to create short-form content

-Strong understanding of platform trends, audience behavior, and digital storytelling

-Ability to move quickly and make sound editorial decisions in a deadline-driven newsroom
