Part Time Unpaid Internship
NPR Digital Media designs and delivers experiences that grow and engage NPR’s audience across all of our platforms. These include web, mobile, and smart speakers, and represent the fastest-growing segments of public radio listeners. Our purpose is to identify and explore new directions for the renewal of public radio’s value proposition to the next generation of our audience. As a Scrum Master Intern will work with Digital Media development team to assist these efforts through facilitating, coaching, and consensus building.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide day-to-day guidance and coaching to cross-functional teams that connect NPR with its digital audiences.
• Learn about the Agile methodology, what servant-leadership is about, and building consensus to drive toward outcomes.
• Learn how to facilitate planning, daily progress, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies, assist Product Owners to translate their vision and business objectives into backlogs, and empower your team’s progress.
• Clear impediments and communicate risks to your team and management.
Education
Progress towards Bachelor’s or Master's degree.
Required Skills
, Knowledge, and Ability
Demonstrated leadership experience through any combination of professional, academic, community, athletic or other activities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project and Outlook)
Excellent communication, administrative, organizational skills
