OVERVIEW
Across our organization, we’re building a workplace where collaboration is essential, diverse voices are heard, and inclusion is the key to our success.
What are the stories that no one else is telling? Who are the voices that no one is listening to?
Code Switch, the nation’s signature podcast and reporting team on race and identity, seeks a creative, passionate host who will bring those stories, those voices, to our rapidly growing audience.
Code Switch, named by Apple in 2020 as its first-ever Podcast of the Year, is expanding and entering a new creative phase, as we move beyond the weekly podcast to tell our stories on more than 100 radio stations around the country.
We’re re-imagining our future — exploring how we can go to new places and tell new stories while preserving the distinctive voice that has made Code Switch a “must-listen” for so many people. And we’re committed to staying grounded in the highest levels of journalism.
We’re a small team and we’re looking for a host and storyteller who’ll work collaboratively across our wide range of activities: the podcast, digital and social, live events, the radio program and the millions of people who listen to Morning Edition, All Things Considered and other NPR shows.
Our ideal host will bring the humor and compassion, the honesty and energy, the boldness and edginess that Code Switch listeners expect, and will work closely with our team of talented producers, editors and reporters.
