You are passionate about leading and negotiating complex partnerships and technology relationships, managing effective implementation of contracts that support digital product needs. You build relationships with internal clients and the vendors who support NPR’s exciting and varied requirements for technology, products and services supporting NPR and our network of Member stations. You are the liaison with partners to develop and monitor contract requirements, assuring that requirements are met and adhered to on both sides.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders to identify and evaluate product and technology strategies and roadmaps to manage a robust strategic sourcing pipeline
• Develop and execute strategic implementation of business-unit level and enterprise-wide sourcing initiatives for large, complex software technologies
• Initiate and manage the end-to-end contract management process for assets, software services and vendors across the product and technology portfolios
• Maintain frequent communication with partners and internal stakeholders to manage performance, budget, scope, and provide timely resolution of issues
• Develop appropriate Request for Proposals, Statements of Work, Metrics, and Service Level Agreements for contracts in coordination with stakeholders and Legal
• Determine specifications and requirements for products and services through partnership with internal stakeholders, and negotiate agreements
• Lead sourcing opportunities and use market research from internal and external sources to drive sourcing decisions
• Build strong and lasting relationships with colleagues and vendors
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED SKILLS
• Proven experience leading complex commercial and contractual negotiations.
• Experience scoping and managing RFPs and other competitive bid processes.
• Demonstrated ability to build, maintain and manage day-to-day relationships with key vendors and contractors.
• Understanding of contract law and applicable legislation.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative and cross-functional environment.
• Project management experience and proven success leading teams.
• Ability to have a sense of urgency to complete tasks, and communicate clearly the impact of missing or extending deadlines to teams and stakeholders.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
• Commitment to a culture of inclusion.
PREFERRED SKILLS
• Minimum of 7 years' experience managing products and services, specifically software, at both the business unit and enterprise level.
• Knowledge of the public radio network and affinity for public radio’s mission and service.
• Experience working for a federated or affiliate organization.
• Understanding of agile methodologies including scrum.
• Proficient with Google Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
