Overview & Responsibilities:
The Associate Games Producer is responsible for supporting the Noggin Senior Director as well as Noggin Producers and Senior Producers as they develop and produce preschool game projects that will live in Noggin and support Noggin's learning goals. They will take part in all stages of product development and production and provide support when needed. For games with smaller scope, they will handle development and production themselves. They will work to understand and support the Noggin Learning Framework.
• Be passionate about supporting the development of engaging and educational games for preschoolers that will delight and stimulate them while serving Noggin's educational goals.
• Assist in creating a learning experience for all learners that prioritizes inclusivity and accessibility. Work with key partners to understand the leaning objectives and learning briefs.
• Participate in internal build review meetings on games in development, contribute creative ideas and synthesize notes and feedback from internal partners and for external vendors.
• Collaborate with the Nickelodeon Asset Library to request assets for game developments and track requests from external vendors.
• Provide build reviews for key achievements builds of each game to confirm script implementation. Deliver voice over files from record sessions to vendors.
• Participate in game demonstrations and make sizzles reels for internal presentations.
• Manage the relationship between external partners and internal build team engineers to set up and manage build jobs for each game. Set up code repos and approve PR requests.
• Work closely with our content management system and publishing tools to publish the games to our staging and live environments.
• Put in game Title Screen requests and track approvals.
• Put in promo and copy content requests and track approvals.
• Enter all purchase orders into the invoice system and track completed requisitions into the budgeting system.
• For smaller or simpler games in development, manage the production of a game from concept to completion under the supervision of a Producer or Senior Producer.
• Be a student of early childhood learning and development and standard methodologies by participating in Noggin U learning sessions, attending usability sessions across all content types, and reading and researching independently.
Basic qualifications:
• 1 years of experience as an assistant game producer in HTML5 game production; mobile or console game development a plus
• Excellent writing, communication and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate goals clearly and drive coordination effectively and efficiently.
• Ability to think flexibly and multi-task in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Knowledge of preschool curriculum and competitive preschool games and apps
Additional Qualifications:
• Passion for playing and creating games
• Knowledge of HTML5 technology (Phaser, Haxe/Flambe, Tiny Unity)
• Knowledge of content management systems and web games publishing processes
