Overview and Responsibilities
ViacomCBS is looking for a Manager to join their consumer products team supporting Nickelodeon and various other brands under ViacomCBS- such as MTV, Comedy Central and Paramount . Responsibilities include the following: handle existing licensed partnerships to insure the successful development and launch of product. Develop quarterly revenue estimates and budgets. Negotiate and execute deals with new or renewing licensees. Handle and improve existing account base, lead product development for all products while working with Consumer Products Marketing and Creative Resources.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Provide support, information and materials for licensees in order to improve development of new products and continued retail expansion of existing products
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Assist with forecast analysis by quarter
• Partner with the following departments: Consumer Products Lines of Business, Brand Marketing,
• Press, Nick Creative, Standards, and Legal to ensure the best possible support of franchises and to ensure that licensees make the best efforts to tie into Viacom/Nickelodeon tent pole themes/promotional events
• Work closely with Retail Development teams to ensure licensees are up to date on all major retail initiatives and are actively pitching products for all major seasons including but not limited to back to school, and holidays
• Daily communication with Global Creative Group to handle product submissions and any rush requests
• Provide access to best-in-class artwork on an as needed basis
• Assist with development of plans and strategies to grow business and yearly revenue
• Analyze and negotiate new business deals and seek opportunities for growth in product categories
• New licensee set up including Deal Memo set up, D&B health checks, and Creative 101’s
Basic Qualifications
• 5 years in a marketing role, preferably at a manufacturing company or licensing role in a media/entertainment company
Additional Qualifications
• Licensing and/or marketing background preferred
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong time management skills and organization
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
• Goal setter to meet department objectives and develops operational plans and processes
• Leader as well as team player
• Leads or contributes to complex projects and develops solutions
• Manages diverse projects and assignments
