The Preschool Content Research Manager will be a member of Nickelodeon’s Brand & Consumer Insights Team, supporting all of Nickelodeon’s preschool content research with non-ratings based consumer insights. This position will manage and assist on qualitative and quantitative research projects that support the preschool production and development teams, and manage both our preschool content & consumer product tracker as well as our preschool content quantitative research database.
Key responsibilities include:
• Assist with and manage qualitative and quantitative research projects, including research design, pre-planning and assets collection, vendor management, data analysis, report writing, and dissemination/presentation of findings
• Assist with fielding storybook research, including monitoring of preschooler discussions and activities
• Manage quantitative content survey development, testing, and analysis (for both Nick and competitive properties) and maintain the preschool content quantitative research database
• Monitor competitive preschool content and consumer product launches and maintain our tracker
• Oversee monthly preschool content screenings, selecting shows to be watched, preparing show overviews, and coordinating with the Analytics and Shopper Insights teams to provide an understanding of ratings and consumer product offerings
• Work closely with the Consumer Insights Research Director to develop ideas and leverage consumer insights that help inform internal initiatives
• Assist with special projects as workload allows
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree preferably in communications, business, market research, or child psychology, graduate research work
• 4 years experience in primary research
Additional Qualifications
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills
• Prior project management experience preferred
• Comfortable analyzing complex data sets and telling compelling stories based on both qualitative and quantitative data
• Ability to adhere to deadlines while juggling multiple projects
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Experience moderating focus groups a plus
• Experience in media (TV or digital)or consumer products preferred
• Keen interest in kids’ entertainment
• Experience in a kids-oriented environment preferred
