Summary:
The Director for NickJr’s YouTube Channel will join the growing YouTube Content Strategy & Development team, creatively and strategically driving the vision for the channel. The Director will be responsible for activating amazing pre-school content for the kids 2-5 audience. Creative will be in support of NickJr’s always-evolving Marketing and Consumer Product priorities, as well as relevant search terms and audience trends. This candidate will help to develop and execute a strategy to grow the channel based on NickJr’s KPIs, and maintain the monthly and quarterly programming calendar. This role works closely with many teams across Nickelodeon, especially with Creative teams, to develop concepts, manage scheduling, optimize for the platform, and ensure overall content delivery. The Director will need to have a deep understanding of the YouTube platform and analyze and report channel performance.
Responsibilities:
• Overall management of the NickJr YouTube Channel.
• Draft and maintain content calendars, in partnership with VP, Creative Strategy & Development, to align with brand priorities and opportunities.
• Ideate and implement original short form content ideas, in accordance with the strategy and creative teams.
• Identify and work with outside creative partners to bring new creative initiatives to the channel.
• Analyze engagement performance and compiling key learnings to format into executive-facing reports.
• Stay on top of, and reporting out, trends within the pre-school space.
• Work both independently and within a team environment, without identified direction and/or responsibilities
• This role will have some freelance and vendor support to help achieve goals.
Basic Qualifications
Qualifications:
• Experience working within the YouTube platform/or social media marketing (preferrably from production, entertainment or toy companies)
• Knowledge of YouTube analytics
• Excellent presentation, writing and communication skills
• Pre-school and/or entertainment content experience

• Ability to interact and work with various personalities and a range of management levels internally and externally
• Highly organized
