Overview and Responsibilities
• Schedule promos, interstitials, lower thirds graphics and format elements on daily broadcast logs and monthly VOD logs, ensuring that predetermined media planning and scheduling strategies are executed accurately
• Execute program schedule changes as necessary (outside standard business hours) and check broadcast logs for accuracy and compliance with commercial standards
• Coordinate the cross channel plans and schedules across niche nets
• Build weekly priority schedules based on monthly roll-outs
• Write and distribute monthly media planning highlights
• Work with marketing group on media plans for theatrical movie releases
• Work with on air team to build wheels for packaged day parts
• Share responsibility for crafting and updating formats in PTS
• Compile analysis of proof campaigns by tracking target vs actual placements for shows and specials
• Research network competition on a regular basis
• Assist the Media Planning team in all areas as needed
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree, required (Communications, Marketing, Media areas of focus, preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of work or relevant internship experience within Entertainment, Cable & Television industry, supporting Programming, Scheduling, On-Air Promotions, Marketing or Production
• Prior experience collaborating with cross-functional departments
• MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint etc)
• Ability to articulate passion for cable, linear television landscape
• Cover letter highlighting experience and desire to work in television, media planning role
Additional Qualifications
• Detail and deadline oriented, with excellent time management skills
• Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills
• Familiarity with Nickelodeon's brand and/or affinity for children's media landscape
• Flexibility to work outside of standard business hours
• Passionate self starter, able to work well under pressure
• Problem solving-solving skills, strategic thinker
• Strong interest in television programming with knowledge and interest in audience demographics
