Our fans are the heart of what we do at Nickelodeon, and we want you to help us make their voices heard. As the Fan Engagement Coordinator, you’ll work closely with our strategy and creative teams to help find and cultivate our social community. In this specific role, you'll be responsible for monitoring and engaging with comments directed at Nickelodeon social media accounts, as well as engaging with fans around topics relevant to them.
The ideal candidate has experience with social moderation for a large brand. You believe that engaging with fans is of utmost importance and can do so across a variety of social platforms including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. It goes without saying that you're a huge fan of Nickelodeon content – from The Loud House to SpongeBob to Rugrats to iCarly, and everything in between. You love quoting popular Nick shows and can spend hours excitedly discussing your favorite episodes.
Responsibilities:
• You will define community engagement strategy
• You will curate, moderate, amplify and engage with fan comments and direct messages
• You will seek out relevant fan discussions to help build our social communities
• You will monitor fan social discussions to identify patterns and themes
• You will compile and distribute community-related reports to stakeholders
• You will create and maintain social moderation guidelines
• You will review and moderate user-generated content as necessary
• You will live tweet at designated times
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree
• 1-2 years experience with community management and fan engagement at a media/entertainment company, brand, or agency (Strong internship experience accepted)
• Obsessive knowledge of Nickelodeon TV shows
• Excellent creative writing skills, with the ability to convey the same message in multiple ways
• Demonstrable experience identifying socially shareable content
• Actively involved in the social media space, with a proven understanding of how to use social platforms to engage and build audiences
Additional Qualifications
• Great sense of humor and can quickly write culturally relevant, brand-appropriate fan replies
• Love and understanding of the English language
• Always plugged into the latest social memes and trends
• Flexible and can easily shift gears and voice quickly between multiple properties
• Superb customer service skills
• Proactive, detail-oriented and extremely organized
• Available to work a flexible schedule to support key events
• Basic photo editing knowledge
• Access to cable TV with capability to view Nickelodeon programming
