Overview and Responsibilities
The Senior Coordinator, Animation Development will be responsible for supporting and coordinating the launch of the shorts program and any originals development for Nick Animation. You will work closely with various departments within the network as well as with outside production companies and talent (artists, writers, directors, animators, etc.).
• Supports senior executives in the daily management of assigned series development projects
• Supports the shorts program through development, production and completion of all assets
• Manages the receipt of assets for development and delivery of content
• Listens in on pitches, preps for meetings, takes notes, builds and maintains relationships across the creative community, finds and develops concepts, and manages the work of internal/external producers.
• Tracks current shorts in production and support delivery
• Compiles and relay story notes on projects in development
• Provides creative feedback during development process
• Supports series throughout production
• Seeks out and establishes relationships with talent
• Creates and maintains lists, including internal tracking and development lists, available talent, new talent, and competitive information.
• Creates meeting materials and ensures those materials are prepared ahead of meetings
• Develops and cultivates relationships with industry contacts (agents, managers, studios, networks)
• Pitches IP and projects to talent and potential partners.
• Tracks and manages Pitch log for short program
Basic Qualifications
• 3 years’ experience working with creative executives in television and 1 year at coordinator level
• Must have strong creative and story instincts
• Strong development history and talent for identifying unique material
• Strong writing and excellent communication skills with an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management
• Ability to work under strict time constraints and meet deadlines
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite including Outlook, Powerpoint, Word and Excel, Final Draft
