Full Time Job
This team serves as the junction point between the Consumer Products Account Executives (AEs), Finance, Accounting, Business & Legal Affairs (BALA), Creative and Media & Technology Services teams in support of a $200MM global Consumer Products business. The goal of the group is to drive operational excellence through technology, process improvement and data analytics.
Responsibilities
• Manage the Deal Memo Workflow: daily assignment of deal submissions to the contracts team, weekly follow up on outstanding inquires to Sales team and/or Legal team, quarterly review of user access
• Provide Sales team with training as related to portals and processes relevant to the deal entry process
• Review proposed deals against Consumer Products Health Checks Policy (a robust set of Business, Finance and Legal guidelines)
• Perform systematic entry of initial deal terms to kick off the Product Development and Forecasting processes
• Identify, troubleshoot and escalate anomalies in contract systems performance
• Perform weekly audits of offshore team’s contract executions by reviewing legal license agreements against License Maestro and submitting ticket requests to correct any errors uncovered
• Develop action plans to prevent reoccurring errors and identify operational inefficiencies
• Perform weekly integrity analysis and present observations and/or recommendations to Manager
• Assist in the quarterly maintenance of training materials and departments SOPs
• Complete ad hoc special projects and data clean-ups
Basic Qualifications
• B.A., B.S. in Business, Project Management or related
• 1-3 years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Additional Qualifications
• Experience in licensing, operations and legal affairs preferred
• Understanding of General Accounting Principles (royalty accounting is a plus)
• Ability to trace an issue to find its root cause and final impact
• Financial skills (knowledge of entertainment and licensing industry practices)
• Ability to understand and interpret contracts
• Business software application knowledge
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Proactive mindset with ability to provide creative solutions to complex problems
• Willingness to challenge the status quo to continually improve organization, process and technology
• Highly analytical and detail oriented with ability to see the big picture and work on cross-divisional projects with many stakeholders
• Ability to multitask and manage diverse projects and assignments
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively (i.e. leader as well as team player)
