Summary:
We at Nickelodeon Animation Studio are looking for a CG artist that has an exceptional understanding of cinematic storytelling using camera, lighting, editing, modeling, composition, and character blocking.
Responsibilities:
• Setting the initial composition, staging and cameras
• Understanding of physical lenses and camera work
• Working knowledge of staging and composition
• Experience with lighting & rigging
• Experience with rough modeling preferred
• Character positioning
• Outstanding artistic skills in cinematography and film language, including a strong sense of composition, staging, camera movement, shot flow, character animation and posing
• Ability to self-manage deadlines, working efficiently in a fast-paced environment prioritize between both pre-production for storyboards and shipment to the overseas studio
• Collaborate with Production team and be receptive to feedback to improve artistic work
Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree preferred
• Knowledge of Maya and Unix required
• Experience in animating hard and soft surfaces
• Previous production experience or outstanding artistic skills/abilities in CGI
• Experience with rough modeling preferred
• A passion for animation
