The Nickelodeon Animation Studio program is open to students and recent graduates.
Roles Summary:
• Animation Technology Intern: The Animation Technology team supports databases and python tools for all the production teams at Nick Studio. The Animation Technology intern will help with day-to-day tasks and troubleshooting while gaining an understanding of production and tech support at the studio.
• Technology Strategy Intern: The intern will interface directly with our Production & Technology strategy team which is responsible for driving continuous improvement projects that support NAS production workflows. This includes all aspects of projects that help facilitate increased efficiency and lower operating costs of production, internally within production and technology departments and externally with outside vendors.
Responsibilities:
• Attending production meetings discussing pipeline and production tracking challenges
• Work with FileMaker and/or Shotgun Database systems
• Help chase down issues or follow up on statuses for records in different queues
• Develop and support tools and procedures which maintain and enhance the production workflow
• Work closely with various departments to streamline and further the production workflow
• Propose, design, develop, implement, test, and support software to existing studio pipelines
• Assist artists with troubleshooting and debugging of production issues
Qualifications:
• Understanding of Animation pipelines, a plus
• Python, JavaScript, Typescript, HTML, CSS
• Django and React a plus
• Preferred experience with Maya, Nuke, Redshift, or Arnold
• Coursework or other studies in computer graphics or 3D game development
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hourly Pay Range: $18.00 - 20.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
