VizRT Operator

This is a Full Time Job

NFL Media is seeking a Lead VizRT Operator at its facility in Culver City, California. The ideal candidate will have significant experience working in a live, multi-camera, television broadcast environment. Applicants must be able to prioritize tasks and to work on several assignments simultaneously without supervision.

Duties include the following
• Work closely with AP/PA's in creating pages in Trio for live play out.
• Act as the liaison between Real-Time Systems department and operators/production. Let Graphics Producer know of any template issues or additional functionality needed.
• Understand and troubleshoot technical aspects of the VizRt system.
• Train new Trio operators on NFL Network workflow and configurations.
• Manage operator resources: trioshows, keyboard shortcuts, and xml's.
• Make sure all freelance operators are following the SOP of importing trioshows or new templates identified by deployment emails.
• Identify misused templates (Pages re-purposed to display information that they were not intended for) and request new templates if necessary.
• Assist in the development of new applications with the Real-Time Systems department for specialized graphics.
• Thoroughly test new applications in a mock live environment and provide feedback to Graphics Producer, Artist, and Programmer.
• Participate in preliminary and post-mortem discussions to improve and create more efficient future production process.
• Maintenance of Trio machines including clearing out unused shows.

Qualifications
• Experience operating during live event and studio shows using Trio.
• Ability to work well under pressure with excellent communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, including following formatting from the graphics style guide.
• Knowledge of Windows and Excel.
• Be familiar with football terminology.
• Strong organizational and accurate spelling skills with the ability to make text changes during live productions.
• Familiarity with production rundowns.
• Must be willing to work nights and weekends.
