Temporary Research Manager

With an overall goal of growing the NFL Network, the Temporary Manager, Research will support all internal NFL Network departments including marketing, programming, scheduling, ad and affiliate sales and communications by proactively providing detailed and relevant information. The assignment will last approximately 7 months.
JOB FUNCTION: Have a strong understanding of television marketing research and hands on experience in overall network and program ratings analysis. Work with multiple software packages to access both ratings and other television research data. Present data in digestible formats and analyze information to identify actionable recommendations.
Responsibilities:
• Administer collection, analysis and distribution of all regularly scheduled reports, including overnights, weekly grid and tracks, monthly cumes, quarterly rankers, etc.
• Administer collection, analysis and distribution of other reports on an ad-hoc basis.
• Act as department liaison for research-related requests from internal and external clients.
• Help create and develop research resources for use in all network positioning initiatives.
• Maintain contact and good relations with all research vendors, i.e. Nielsen, Rentrak and Star Media.
• Contribute as needed/requested to creation and structure of all primary qualitative and quantitative research.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 3-5 years research experience at a network (broadcast or cable), ad agency, syndicator, station or other program provider.
• Experience with Nielsen software including Explorer, Navigator, NPower and Ad Views.
• Detail oriented with exceptional organization skills.
• Excellent communication skills including the ability to write clearly and succinctly.
• Hands on expertise with, Excel, Powerpoint and Word.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• General knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research projects.
