Responsibilities:
Visual Brand Strategy: Develop and implement a cohesive visual brand strategy that aligns with our goals.
Hands-On Design: Lead the design process from concept to execution, ensuring all visual assets are on-brand and high-quality.
Creative Oversight: Provide feedback to external designers and freelancers, ensuring their work meets our standards.
Editorial Design: Create layouts for digital and print media, including magazines, newsletters, and promotional materials.
Motion Graphics: Oversee motion graphics for video content, social media campaigns, and other digital platforms.
Talent Sourcing: Identify and collaborate with external designers, illustrators, and creatives.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, content, and production teams to brainstorm and execute projects.
Qualifications:
Experience: 5+ years in graphic design and art direction, with a strong portfolio across multiple mediums.
Autonomy: Ability to manage projects from start to finish while overseeing external creatives.
Expertise: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other design tools.
Creativity: A knack for generating innovative ideas and visually engaging content.
Communication: Strong communication skills, working well with internal teams and external partners.
Adaptability: Flexibility to manage evolving priorities in a fast-paced startup environment.
Resourcefulness: Proven ability to source and manage external talent to support projects.
Passion: A love for visual storytelling and a desire to make an impact.

We are an innovative media/video production startup creating dynamic YouTube content, with projects that also extend into areas like editorial design and merchandise design. We're looking for a talented graphic designer ready to step up into an art director role, managing our visual identity across all platforms while staying hands-on with design work. This is a role that spans a wide variety of creative areas-you'll never get bored! If you're passionate about visual storytelling and have experience in the world of entertainment and YouTube, we want to hear from you!
Initially this will be an hourly or project based role with consistent flow of work for a ''Try Out'' / ''Probationary'' period, and then convert into a full time or contract.
