The CW marketing team seeks a VP, Growth Marketing responsible for architecting and driving user growth through acquisition, engagement and retention campaigns. The right person for this role will have a successful track record in driving transformative growth for an AVOD or subscription-based streaming business. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer and partnering closely with the Chief Digital Officer, the candidate will develop integrated customer lifecycle strategies and manage alignment of brand, content and streaming marketing campaigns. The role will oversee media investment across the funnel but is primarily focused on growing the company in total audience, usage, and revenue through expertise in performance marketing, advanced analysis, and data-backed insights. The candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, data-driven environment and possesses a strong ability to multitask, prioritize and handle multiple projects concurrently. The Daily
• Develop and execute an omnichannel acquisition strategy to meet growth targets, including paid media, device partnerships and owned platforms.
• Lead user acquisition efforts, including planning, execution, testing and optimization of media plans across CTV, web and mobile platforms.
• Manage all media agency and vendor relationships related to acquisition and awareness marketing efforts and hold them accountable for hitting aggressive business goals.
• Work with the product lead to ensure the customer acquisition funnel and key journeys on web and app experiences are maximized for conversion and engagement.
• Work with creative team to ensure seamless process for creating and delivering acquisition creative, including landing pages, SEM copy, and social ads.
• Build a measurement roadmap to understand campaign impact and answer key questions around media efficiency, frequency, attribution and media optimization.
• Track, analyze and report on key performance indicators to CW management.
• Partner with Brand/Content marketing teams to translate awareness objectives into media strategies and facilitate operational efficiencies for all media campaigns.
• Drive the evolution of our engagement campaigns towards automated, trigger-based, dynamically personalized messages.
• Build and manage a small, agile team with functional leads for media strategy, engagement marketing and creative ops.
The Essentials
• Position will be based in the Burbank, CA office.
• 10+ years operating in a performance marketing role, leading and implementing user acquisition and retention campaigns across CTV, mobile and web platforms.
• AVOD, FAST or subscription-based streaming experience is a must.
• Experience leading integrated planning for omnichannel media campaigns and employing full-funnel measurement methodologies.
• Proficiency in advanced analytics, attribution measurement, predictive modeling, A/B testing, data visualization, audience development and marketing automation tools.
• Extremely analytical with proven ability to use data to problem-solve and optimize outcomes.
• Deep channel expertise across the entire marketing mix and fluency in direct media buying and analytics tools, including Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, etc.
• Self-starter and problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic start-up environment.
• Well-honed communication skills with senior audiences; ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization from media partners to senior leadership.
• Proven track record of building and leading a team
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent. MBA preferred.
The Compensation
• $200-250K/yr commensurate with experience and skill levels.
