Lifestyle Show Videographer

This is a Full Time Job

The Lifestyle show Videographer operates television or video cameras to record images or scenes for commercial and on-air content.

Operates editing equipment to produce images for commercial and on air content.

Operates live TVU equipment for on air content.

Shoots video for commercial and on-air efforts, operates live TVU equipment.

Confers with other personnel to discuss assignments, filming sequences, desired effects and shot requirements.
• Sets up, composes and executes video shots
• Maintains video equipment
• Organizes and strings together raw footage into a continuous whole according to scripts or instructions
• Sets up and operates computer editing systems, and digital video effects to produce a final product
• Selects and combines the most effective shots to each scene to form a logical and smoothly running story
• Confers with other personnel to discuss assignment, work products and desired effects
• Maintains editing equipment
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements & Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
• Fluency in English
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Minimum two years' experience in news operations (Depending on market size)
• Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Flexibility to work any shift
