Full Time Job
The Product Manager, Ad Products (PMAP) will be a key member Nexstar Digital's Product Management team, contributing to the strategy, implementation, and maintenance of internal and consumer-facing Advertising and Revenue-related features and functionality n Nexstar's portfolio of Digital offerings. This position requires extensive experience and passion for Ad Products, technologies, and vendors such as Google Ad Manager, header bidding, and pre/mid/post-roll video advertising.
Reporting to the VP of Product, the PMAP will work closely with Product team leaders and other stakeholders to help define, set, and implement strategic and operational Ad Product priorities for Nexstar Digital.
Experience Required
• 4+ years' experience with Digital Ad/Revenue products, technologies, platforms, development, operations, and monetization is a must, preferably for a media company.
• Mastery of Agile Software Development Product Management methodologies, tools, and practices (gathering and writing requirements, user acceptance testing, etc.)
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders and collaborate and manage projects within a large geographically diverse company.
• Ideal candidates will have a solid media/publishing business acumen, be motivated and passionate and operates effectively in independent and team collaboration settings alike.
Specific Responsibilities
• Manage the day-to-day Product Management operations of Nexstar Digital's Advertising and Revenue related workstreams.
• Understand national and local advertising needs, and work to develop display solutions that deliver for customers.
• Support the Revenue Operations, Ad Ops, and Sales teams in defining, implementing, and maintaining features, functionality, and technologies related to Advertising and Revenue.
• Interface closely with the Program Management and Engineering teams in developing, maintaining, and optimizing Ad/Revenue technologies.
• Contribute to and communicate the Product group's Ad Products priorities and roadmap to stakeholders.
• Author clear, actionable product requirements in an Agile software development environment.
• Comfort in using a variety of reporting and project management tools to communicate and document across the Ad Products portfolio including Zendesk, Jira, Confluence, etc.
• Manage end-to-end Ad Products rollouts and maintenance including:
• Requirements gathering
• Feature Definition (User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, etc.)
• Conducting user acceptance testing
• Creating detailed product artifacts such as PRDs and training documentation.
• Intake, triage, and follow-through on stakeholder bug/feature reports via systems like Zendesk
• Craft communications and proposals for executives and stakeholders, demonstrating strategy, strong organizational thought, accuracy, and concise delivery
Qualifications
• Has 4+ years of experience as a product manager with proven digital advertising and ad operations experience including:
o Knowledge of, and experience with, various Ad Serving/Revenue technologies (Google Ad Manager, header bidding, programmatic advertising, DSPs etc.)
o Knowledge of video ad serving techniques and strategy (preroll, midroll, etc.)
• Experience working with US and international privacy regulations around tracking & advertising
• Understands the web, native app, and OTT Ad Products landscape
• Ad/Revenue analytics and reporting
• Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision making
• Proven Product experience working directly with Sales, Design, Program Management, and Engineering teams to build and ship Digital Ad/Revenue products
• Stellar communication and project management skills with the ability to weave strategy, insights, priorities, and plan into a structured and organized storyline at all levels of management and stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree required
